Delete your Twine account
Twine, by ENA Apps
In the app
- Open Twine and tap your avatar at the top to open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read what will happen, then tap Delete account again to confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away and Twine signs out on that phone. Any other phone signed in to the same account signs out the next time it opens Twine. This cannot be undone.
If you can't use the app
Email support@enaapps.com with the subject "Delete my Twine account" and the phone number you signed in with. To make sure the request is yours, we will text a code to that number and ask you to send it back to us. We delete the account within 30 days of confirming.
What is deleted
- Your phone number and sign-in record.
- Your name, colour and time zone in every group you were ever in.
- Your push tokens, so no phone gets your notifications any more.
- Any group in which you are the only member, with everything in it.
- Any private topic that nobody else can read, with everything in it.
- Your usage events and records of wrong invite codes.
- Twine's copy on the phone you delete from.
What stays, and why
Messages, todos, dates, notes, list items and photos you added to a group that other people are still in stay in that group, so the conversation and plans still make sense for them. They are shown as from a "Former member": your name is removed and nothing links them to you any more.
If you owned a group that others are still in, ownership passes to the member who joined first after you.
If you want something you wrote removed as well, delete it in the app before you delete your account: long-press a message to delete it, or open a todo, date or note and delete it.
How long anything is kept afterwards
- Photo files of deleted topics: removed from storage within about a day.
- Technical sync and security logs, which hold ids but no content: deleted after 90 days.
- Backups of the database: overwritten within 7 days.
More detail is in the privacy policy.
